Status Report 1 - Initial Report
I worked on creating my digital folders and am in the process of selecting artifacts for each folder. I am still debating between using a Google Site and something else. I am not familiar with other options that are available to me.
I am still a little unsure about my additional categories. I am thinking about doing one on assessment, since I have a lot of artifacts from ED 311 & 312 that would work well for this category.
For my theme, I am interested in doing something about history, since I have a passion for reading and sharing history with my students. I like the theme of "bringing history to life". It describes my content focus in history by providing artifacts and connecting social studies to students' lives in order to help bring history to life for students.
Status Report 2 - Sept 28, 2012
This week, I learned a lot about the different site options. Before the next class, I am going to explore some of the options and decide on a website. I was not feeling like using the computer during this workshop time. I worked on making categories on actual paper and thinking about artifacts that I can use. I realized that I have a plethora of usable artifacts and began to really sort them into categories. I also decided on my theme of "trees" and education being alive.
Status Report 3 - 10/12
For this week, my goal was the solidify my site choice. I chose to do a weebly. I liked all the different themes and options available that are not on a google site. I picked a site theme and created my weebly. Here is a link to my weebly site. I also worked on how I can integrate my theme into my site design.
Status Report 4 - 11/9
I worked on uploading the documents and artifacts to my weebly site. This also included created subpages for some of the artifacts in order to better organize things. After gathering and uploading the artifacts, my portfolio has really started to take shape. I think that once I add in my annotations, my portfolio will look really awesome.
Status Report 5 - 11/16
For this workshop day, I have my theme set out and the pages created for my portfolio. Since I spent the last workshop selecting and uploading the different documents, I worked on writing my annotation for these documents. I got about halfway done on the annotations, so I am mostly done with my portfolio but I still have a little bit of work left to do on these annotations.
